How to Organize Gaming Clips in a Creator Vault

Give every file a stage

Organize content by where it is in the workflow rather than scattering it by app. A useful structure is: source footage, moments to review, edits in progress, approved exports, and published assets.

Use names you can search later

Include the game, date, and moment in the filename. A name like valorant-2026-06-26-ace-round-source.mp4 is easier to find than a camera-generated filename.

Keep context beside the media

Store hook ideas, caption notes, voice memos, and source links with the clip. Editors should not have to search a separate chat to understand why a moment was selected.

Separate masters from platform exports

Keep one clean master, then create delivery files for TikTok, Shorts, and Reels. This prevents accidental quality loss and makes later revisions easier.

Archive published work without hiding it

Move finished posts into a dated archive and retain their source relationship. A searchable vault should make old footage reusable without turning the active workspace into a backlog.
